Difference between Labradoodles and Spoodles

Labradoodles

labradoodles originate from a cross between a Labrador and a Poodle or a mix of Two Labradoodles bred together, which is what we breed. We breed 2-6th Generation labradoodles. Labradoodles have an easy going personality, very friendly, loyal and are easily trained. They are very loving & kind dogs that are a great all round family dog. Labradoodles are often content being a couch potato, a trait they get from the Labrador side, they are happy curled up by your side, or on your lap if they fit, and equally happy chilling in their favourite spot. Labradoodles also enjoy outdoor time and family adventures. They are very intelligent and have a gentle disposition that makes them wonderful therapy dogs & companions. They are a great choice for a family dog that will fit into any home environment. Our labradoodles generally are bigger in size than our Spoodles. Adult size 10-22 kilos.

Spoodles

Spoodles, also known as Cockapoos, originate from a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle or a mix of two Spoodles bred together. Spoodles have a cheerful personality, are easy to train and love to please their owners. They get along with all family members, and are great with children, other dogs & pets. They also find pleasure in the simplest things in life, whether it’s cuddling up on their owners lap, running an agility course, helping as a therapy dog, or learning new tricks with their family members. Spoodles prefer to be with their owners as much as possible, so are not well suited to being left alone for long periods of time. Our Spoodles are a great choice for a active family that loves adventures, that want a smaller dog. Adult size 8-12 kilos.

Coat Types

We specialize in non-shedding fleece coats and occasionally have wool coats.

They need to be groomed/clipped every 6-8 weeks. All our Doodles are 2nd- 4th Generation. We do not breed 1st generation.

Sizes

We breed miniature (8-12kilos) and medium-sized Labradoodles (13-18 kilos) being 40-54cms to the shoulder in height and occasionally have standard-sized Labradoodles.
